William David Cheshier

William David Cheshier, age 49, of Wister, Oklahoma was born Wednesday, July 22, 1959 in the Pool Hospital at Lindsay, Oklahoma. He was the third son of the late Bascom Cheshier and Dorothy Cheshier Branch. David died March 8, 2009 as the result of a motorcycle accident in the Wister area. David was a 1977 graduate of Lindsay High School and attended Oklahoma State Tech at Okmulgee. As a youth, David enjoyed going to "Falls Creek" Baptist Conference Center near Davis every summer and there accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour. He was a member of Erin Springs Baptist Church. He loved life, especially hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends whether it was a campsite or around the table. He took pleasure in recounting events, telling stories or listening. David just enjoyed people. He had no children of his own but took pleasure in those of others, especially his nephews and nieces. David loved his dog, Cinnamon, and mourned her loss last summer. Motorcycles were a big part of his life. He and his friends rode at every opportunity. David was a man of integrity. As an employer and an employee, he was honest and fair. In all of the dealings and affairs of the business, he often gave more than what was expected. David was preceded in death by his father, Bascom Cheshier, his grandparents, two nephews, Grant and Garrison Caldwell and an aunt and uncle from the Lindsay area; Brock and Ida Saylors. David is survived by his mother and step-father, Dorothy & Benham J. Branch of Lindsay, three brothers; Darrell Glen Cheshier of Ninnekah and Tawana of Chickasha, John Alvin Cheshier and Dedrah of Lindsay, Royce Lee Cheshier and Elisia of Heavener, one step-brother, Richard Branch and Stephanie of Goldsby, sister, Anita Caldwell and Gary of Piedmont, one step-sister, Tracy Branch of Stillwater, his nephews; Gavin Caldwell and Jade of Norman, Andrew Cheshier of Ninnekah, Drew Cheshier and Kaci of Heavener, Lee Cheshier and Lane Cheshier, both of Heavener, Dustin Cheshier of Lindsay and Josey Branch of Goldsby, his nieces; Andrea Caldwell of Piedmont, Kyla Cheshier of Edmond, Kassi and Haley Branch of Goldsby, his grand-nephew, Brody Cheshier of Heavener, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Cheshier are set for two o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Gary Caldwell officiating assisted by Rev. Carl Cheshier and Rev. Cletis Lee. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
