Ronald Stephen Box

Ronald Stephen Box was born to Claud Stephen Box Jr. and Alma Lee Box (McKee) on December 31, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on June 2, 2026, at his home in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Ronnie was a longtime resident of Lindsay. He proudly called it home for 58 years. He lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to his country, and an unwavering love for his family. Ronnie proudly served the United States by joining the Marine Corps, bravely serving his country during the Vietnam War. Ronnie married the love of his life, Vicky, on May 25, 1967. The two shared a deep and beautiful bond, remaining happily married for 53 years until Vicky’s passing on February 24, 2021. Together, they raised two children, Jamie and Stephen Box. For Ronnie, family was always the absolute priority, and his devotion to them was evident in everything he did. Ronnie was an entrepreneur at heart, He was known for his tireless work ethic. Over the years, he successfully pursued many occupations, working primarily in real estate and the oilfield. He also owned and operated a local car lot and car auction for several years. Ronnie knew how to enjoy life outside of work. He was a passionate football fan and loved relaxing with episodes of Gunsmoke. Ronnie enjoyed the excitement of gambling and never turned down a good plate of Mexican food. Ronnie will be remembered as a provider, a protector, and a proud veteran who loved his family above all else. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Claud Stephen Box Jr. and Alma Lee Box (Mckee), his beloved wife, Vicky Box, and his brother, Larry Don Box. Left to cherish Ronnie’s memory are his children, Jamie King and husband Jerry Stroud of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Stephen Box of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his brother, David Box of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, his sister, Janice Drennan of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Dylan Smith of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Cassondra Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his three great-grandsons, his niece and nephew, Lyndsi and Colton Drennan, whom he loved and treated as his own grandchildren, along with many more extended family and friends.
