James Burton

James Burton, or "Tailchain" as known by his trucking family, of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 at Lindsay Municipal Hospital in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 52. James was born on May 29th, 1958 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Robert Leslie Burton and Mary Ruth (Dunkin) Burton. He married Eugenia Corbin in Newcastle, Oklahoma on June 14th, 1975. James was a resident of Lindsay for twenty-two years. He worked in the oilfield as a truck driver for Kal Drilling and Transportation. As he always said, "The bigger the load the better". But James was a jack of all trades. He worked as a machinist at Beaver Tool and Machine Company, a rig mover for Peak U.S.A. and a tank hauler for S. & H. Tank Service and Coastal. Driving a truck was his passion. He loved a lot of things in his life, like fishing on the lake, but nothing could compare to the love he had for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and co-worker. James is survived by his wife, Eugenia Burton, one daughter, Kari Burton, one son, Greg Burton and wife Tabatha, five grandchildren; Karlea Burton, Samantha Spencer, Emilie, Phillip and Dustin Bacigalupo, all of Lindsay, his mother Mary Ruth Burton of Pauls Valley, one brother, Jerry Burton and wife Deb of Greenwood, Arkansas, two sisters; Shelia Carnell and husband Danny of Pauls Valley and Jennifer Sutton and husband Don of Pauls Valley, and a sister-in-law, Carol Burton of Enid, Oklahoma. James was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Louise Burton, his father, Robert Burton, his grandparents; Leslie and Ozie Burton and Earnest and Edna Dunkin, three brothers; Robert Burton, Ronald Burton and Kelley Burton. Funeral services for Mr. Burton are set for two o?clock p.m. on Wednesday, January 26th, 2011 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel at 308 S.W. Third St. in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Pastor Terry Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G.
