Ella . Selby

Ella Selby passed away on September 27, 2005 at the age of 89. She was born on July 16, 1916 to Ben and Clara Williams at Madill, Oklahoma. She has lived in the Lindsay area most of her life. Ella was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Dibble, Oklahoma. Before retiring Ella worked as a nurse?s aide for 25 years and loved her work helping others. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, making quilts, fishing, reading and visiting with her family and fiends. Ella is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Allen Vinson in 1974 and by her second husband Melton Selby in 1981. She is also preceded by two brothers, Earl and Curtis Williams, three sisters, Bonnie Childers, Mary Coe and Faye Sikes, and two grandsons, Allen and Timmy Vinson. She is survived by three sons; Bennie and wife Mae Vinson, of Lindsay, Doyle and Pat Vinson, of Noble, Dickey and Sonny Vinson, of Lindsay, and one daughter Helen and Raymond Staggs, of Lindsay, one sister, Vannoy Cunningham, of Newcastle. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Steve and Robin Staggs, Stan and Rhonda Staggs, Connie and Larry Morris, Paul and Char Vinson, Carlos Vinson, Kathy and Prestan Durham, Trisha and Greg Smith, Dwayne and Gina Vinson, Emanuel Ray (Shorty) and Lisa Vinson, and Chris Vinson, 28 great grandchildren; Brandon and Jessica Conner, Amy and Cacy Keck, Stephanie and Riley Russell, Leslie Staggs, Josh and Tamitha Staggs, Tony Staggs, Megen Vinson, Jenna Vinson, Crystal Smith, Brittany Smith, Bobby Hamm, Carlton Vinson, Jimmy Cox, Christopher Vinson, Joey Cox, Macy Vinson, Jacy Vinson, Aaron Vinson, Kelly Vinson, Christany Vinson, Chris Vinson, Leah Vinson, Lauren Vinson, Lane Vinson, three great-great grandchildren, Jordan Lynn Keck, Briar Mason Conner,and Laney Conner, along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Ella?s family would like to thank the Good Shepard Hospice Care group and all who have loved and supported them through this difficult time. Services are scheduled for Ella at the Calvary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2005. Interment will be at the Green Hill Cemetery.
