Delores Adams

Delores O. (Deville) Adams was born on November 10, 1938, to Elmus Deville and Esther (Hogan) Deville. She passed from this life on March 17, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years old. Delores was born in Mamou, Louisiana. Delores married the love of her life Delbert Adams on June 12, 1958, in Alexandria, Louisiana, they spent many loving years together before his passing in August 14, 2003. Delores and Delbert purchased the farm in 1972, a few years later in August of 1978 they moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma. Delores was a member of the Banner Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Delores enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting, she made doiles, suits, quilts, her family’s clothes and wedding gowns. She was known by her loved ones as Mawmaw, and Aunt Blue. Delores loved to garden and was a great cook if you went hungry at her home it was your own fault. She always had a smile on her face that would bring joy to those around her. Delores fixed fences, drove a bus, was a hairdresser, and raised 5 children. She was the last living child of 9 kids. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Greg Adams and wife Janet of Lindsay, Oklahoma; son, Terry Adams of Lindsay, Oklahoma; daughter, Donna Schreiber and husband Greg of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brandi Cully, Derrick Scoggins, Emily Diane Henry, Kyle Schreiber, Rachelle Pigg, Rachel Adams, Tara Adams, Nikki Schreiber and Trace Adams; great-grandchildren, Luke, Corin, and Tatum Cully, Hollis and Hayes Henry, Lincoln and Ollie Pigg, Preslie and Weldon Palmer. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Elmus and Esther Deville; husband, Delbert Adams; daughter, E. Diann Adams; daughter, Paula M. Adams; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. A Memorial Service to honor the life of Delores is set to begin at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Banner Baptist Church, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest in a private family gathering at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma at a later date.
