Norma Fay McDaniel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Norma Fay (Gordon) McDaniel, was born to Barney William Gordon and Ouida (Eatmon) Gordon, at home in Gordon family farm 4 miles southwest of Lindsay, Oklahoma, on June 14, 1934. She had one older brother Albert Leon born June 3, 1929. She entered into her eternal rest on August 1, 2022, across the road from where she was born, at age 88. Norma attended See Chapel School Dist. 64, and graduated 8th grade as valedictorian playing basketball. She graduated in 1952 from Bradley High School as valedictorian. During high school she met the love of her life George Ervin McDaniel and married him two weeks after graduation. Later they had 3 children, Phillip McDaniel born in 1953, Linda born in 1955, Glen McDaniel born in 1957. She was proud they all three had careers in the Navy. Norma attended medical lab school in Lawton, Oklahoma. After she passed her state exam, she spent 29 years working as a certified medical lab tech. She spent 23 years and retired from Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Left to cherish Norma’s memory are her children Phillip McDaniel, Glen McDaniel, and Linda McDaniel, her four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Norma is preceded in death by her by her parents, Barney and Ouida Gordon, her husband, George McDaniel, and a brother, Albert Leon Gordon. A graveside service to honor the life of Norma is set to begin at 11 A.M. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay. Oklahoma.
