Lester Miller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lester Miller, age 87, of Wharton, Texas, passed away Friday, February 7, 2003 at Heights Hospital in Houston, Texas. Lester was born to Neal and Bertha Miller on July 15, 1915 in Pink, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and carpenter before retirement. Lester lived in the Lindsay area for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he loved his family. Lester was a founding member of Hughes Baptist Church. In later years, he became a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Lindsay, where he was a deacon. Lester is survived by his wife, Maurine, of the home. They were married on November 9, 1935 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles Miller of Houma, OK, Alene Baker of Houma, OK, Alta Mund of Richmond, TX. Lester is also survived by his children, Fred Miller and wife Gale of Wharton, TX, Lynn Miller and wife Edwina of Muldrow,OK. Lester is also survived by grandchildren, Mark Miller and wife Michelle of Heavener, OK, Heath Miller and wife Amy of Tulsa, OK, J.C. Callison of San Diego, CA, LeAnna Brun of Richmond, TX, Zachary Miller of Nashville,TN. His great grand children are Marlena Grace of Heavener, OK, Caitlyn Scarlett Miller of Heavener, TX, Paris Miller of Tulsa, OK, Cody Magnum Callison of San Diego, CA, Victoria and Hannah Brun of Richmond, TX. Lester is preceded in death by his brothers Chancey Miller and Eddie Miller; sister, Marie Crawford; and by his son, Kent Miller. Services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gardner officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
