Jessie Ernestine Lowe

Jessie Ernestine Lowe, age 89, of Lindsay, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Grace Living Center in Lindsay. She was born on January 26, 1914 in Lowell, Arkansas to Jesse Ernest Soapes and Fern May Hamilton. She married Cecil Lowe on May 3, 1941 in Pineville, Missouri. Ernestine moved to Lindsay in 1959 from Springdale, Arkansas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay, since 1959. She was a nurse before retirement. Ernestine enjoyed reading, flower gardens and traveling with her husband, Cecil, after retirement. She is survived by her son Eddie Lowe and wife, Charlotte of Lindsay, and daughter-in-law Patsy Lowe of Madill, OK. Grandchildren: Julie Lowe of Amarillo, TX and Brandi Shaw of Edmond, OK and two great grandchildren. Ernestine is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Lowe, son Don Lowe and grandson Evan Lowe. Services will be held, Friday, June 6, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Steve Gardner officiating and Rev. Bill Gentry, assisting. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Val Reneau, James Mann, Jack Smith, Lee McGill, Jerry Lacy and Greg Edwards. Visitation will be Wednesday to 8:00 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., also Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.. Arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
