Iva Mae Gamble Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Iva Mae Gamble, age 92, of Lindsay passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at her home in Lindsay. She was born on January 21, 1911 in Waurika, Oklahoma to John Lewis and Vernie Victoria Reames Lewis. Iva Mae was a retired homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of Banner Baptist Church. She is survived by her children: Gladys Wilkins and husband, Robert, of Riverside, CA; and Pauline Lindsay, Pearlee Adams and husband, Tut, and Bessie Gamble all of Lindsay. Iva Mae is also survived by one sister, Ruth Walker of Culver, Indiana. Grandchildren are Jerry Wilkins, Ron Wilkins and Ruth Comings of Riverside, CA; Randy Lindsay and Paula Lindsay of Lindsay, OK; and Jerri Annette Dutcher and Anthony Adams of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren: many great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Iva Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry T. Jay Gamble. They were married in McClain County on July 16, 1927. She is also preceded in death by both parents; oldest daughter Alliene Loree Gamble; son, Jerry T. Gamble , Jr.; one grandson, Daniel Lee Lindsay; five brothers and one sister. Services will be held on, Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gardner officiating. Interment will be at Blanchard Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Cary, James Godwin, Bob Doan, Durel Tot Rodgers, Cecil Smith, Gene Rogers, Richard Horner and Victor Cacy. Memorial may be viewed online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com.
