Barry Alan Stapp
August 14, 1969 - January 20, 2022
Barry “Bearcat” Alan Stapp was born on August 14, 1969, to Franklin Dean Stapp and Kathaleen Mae (Sharkey) Stapp. He passed from this life on January 20, 2022, at his home in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 52. Barry was a resident of Lindsay, Oklahoma. He lived most of his life in the town of Bradley, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Alex High School in Alex, Oklahoma. Barry was an irreplaceable employee of Vicker’s Construction and a supervisor for almost 30 years. He had his hands on many different projects they had going. Barry was a very hard worker and was well respected by his fellow employees. There was not an oilman in the state that he did not know. Barry’s greatest treasure was his family who felt he was the world’s greatest dad and the best grandfather. He loved his girls with his whole heart and when his grandbabies came along his heart just grew that much more. He cherished the time they got to share and the memories they created. Barry was a great friend to many. He always had your back and was there with a helping hand to those in need. He left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Barry was an avid golfer, it did not matter who he was with just as long as he was golfing. He was also a proud member of the Elks Lodge in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Barry loved participating in all their events, such as feeding the veterans on Veterans Day. He took part in their bowling and golf tournaments and was very proud of the golf trophies he won. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Tiffani Harder and husband Joshua of Bradley, Oklahoma, and Bailee Stapp of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Dillan, Tristan, Jameson, Wesley, and Ellie Mae, his beloved and cherished partner, Tracy Lynn Pennington, brother, Frankie Stapp of Wapak, Ohio, sister, Janie Stapp of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and mother, Kathy Sharkey. He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Stapp, sister-in-law, Linda Stapp, and the mother of his children, Samantha Stapp. A memorial service to honor the life of Barry is set to begin at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the First Assembly of God in Lindsay, Oklahoma, with Eddie Ince officiating. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Wilbourn Family Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.wilbournfamilyfuneralhome.com
