Wilma Scyrkels Eyster

Wilma Scyrkels Eyster was born on December 31, 1937 in Healdton, Oklahoma to George and Edna Spurgin. She married Bob Scyrkels on June 1, 1956 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Wilma was a long-time resident of Lindsay, having lived here since the early 1960?s. Bob passed away on November 9, 1991. Wilma was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay where she served as a nursery worker for eighteen years. She was also the church secretary for Calvary Baptist Church for two years. She married Jesse LaVerne Eyster on May 18, 1999 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. LaVerne departed this life on January 15, 2011. Wilma enjoyed gardening and having garage sales. She loved spending time with her family and playing games, especially Wahoo. Wilma passed from this life on Monday, December 1, 2014 at her home in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 76. She will be greatly missed in the lives of her family and friends who love her. Wilma is survived by three daughters: Lisa Jackson of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Pam Yandell and husband Terry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jill Foster of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, four sisters: Betty Dickson of Norman, Oklahoma, Georgia Montgomery of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Carolyn Branch of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Donna Spurlock of Lexington, Kentucky, brother-in-law, Bill Scyrkels of Spring, Texas and her grandchildren: Krista Smith and husband Brad of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Alesha Campbell and husband Mike of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Jason Smith and wife Emily of Dibble, Oklahoma, Dana Hines and husband Matt of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Brenna Worley and husband Michael of Edmond, Oklahoma, Terra Yandell of Edmond, Oklahoma, Clint Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma, Blake Jackson of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Joe Foster of Ada, Oklahoma, Jake Foster of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Brandi Hilmes and husband Tim of Pasco, Washington and Corey Jackson and wife Anita of Lindsay, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Riley, Macey and Kloey Smith, Carter and Harper Campbell, Drake and Dax Worley, Cale, Kendal and Cruz Hines, Caitlin Jackson, Rayen and Whitley Hilmes and Morganne, Hailey and Alyssa Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Scyrkels, her second husband, LaVerne Eyster, her parents, George and Edna Spurgin and one brother, Wayne Spurgin. Funeral services for Mrs. Eyster are set for two o?clock p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church, located at 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Pastor Matt Celoria officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G.
