Rosie Lee Cosby

Rosie Lee Cosby of Lindsay, Oklahoma departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71. Rosie was born in the Pikes Peak Community near Lindsay, Oklahoma on September 6, 1941 to Roden and Leeola (Wilkins) Parker. She married Clyde Gerald Cosby on August 13, 1960. Rosie was a retired Dietary Worker, having worked at the Lindsay School, Hospital and Nursing Home. She was a lover of the outdoors and one of her favorite things to enjoy was camping and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends who will greatly miss her. Mrs. Cosby is survived by her husband, Clyde Cosby, one son, Randy Cosby and wife Gayla of Guthrie, Oklahoma, one daughter, Michelle Riggs and husband James of Muldrow, Oklahoma, two brothers: Rudy Parker of Eastland, Texas and Odell Parker of Lindsay, Oklahoma, one sister, Doris Drennan of Lindsay, Oklahoma and two step-sisters: Shari Waite of Maysville, Oklahoma and Donna Swaim of Okeene, Oklahoma. Rosie also leaves behind her granddaughters: Cassie Henry and Curtis of Cashion, Oklahoma, Tiffany Reupert and Jason of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Jessica Shaffer of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Courtney Shaffer of Muldrow, Oklahoma, her grandsons: Andrew Cosby of Ben Wheel, Texas, Christopher Wilbur of Moore, Oklahoma, Jacob Wilbur and Christian of Edmond, Oklahoma, Russell Riggs of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Cooper Riggs of Muldrow, Oklahoma and her great-grandchildren: Harley, Cheyenne and Hannah Henry; Tyler and Maegan Reupert, Kalan Wilbur and Karter Wilbur. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Roden and Leeola Parker and one step-brother, Sammie Jones. Funeral services for Mrs. Cosby are set for ten o?clock a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Church of God in Erin Springs on Highway 76 South of Lindsay, Oklahoma with Pastor Greg Hatchett officiating and Pastor Rodney Hutcheson assisting. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
