Robert "Bob" Beam

Robert “Bob” Wendall Beam was born on March 16, 1939 in Ada, Oklahoma to Thomas Harrison Beam and Avis Marie (Jones) Simpson. He passed from this life and went to his heavenly home on February 17, 2024, at the age of 84. Bob lived in Moore, Oklahoma, for many years then moved to Springfield, Missouri, and later to Grand Prairie, Texas, for work purposes. He said the three states were all different but he loved all three. Bob moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma, in 1995 to care for his mother. Bob had a great sense of humor and loved playing good natured pranks on his family and friends. Bob had a kind and compassionate heart and loved helping anyone in need. He helped many people but wanted no praise or attention for his good deeds, and never mentioned to anyone what he had done. Bob had strong Christian beliefs and always strived to be honest and do the right thing. He attended Criner Baptist Church and then later Erin Springs Baptist Church. He was also very proud to be a mason. Bob married Judith “Judy” Faye Sexton on November 17, 1979, and they spent 35 blissful years together until Judy’s passing in 2015. He grieved and missed Judy until his death. Bob couldn’t wait to reunite with her in heaven. Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his four daughters, Robin Morrison and husband Gregg of Norman, Oklahoma, Sherry Martinez and husband Steve of Springfield, Missouri, Cindy Cesar of Marshfield, Missouri, and Laura Edwards and husband Joe of Prosper, Texas, his brother, Garry Simpson and wife Linda of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Aimee Morrison, Michael Williams, Matthew Williams, Sara Hiland and Rebecca Edwards, along with numerous great grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Beam, his parents, Thomas Beam and Marie Simpson and his granddaughter Amanda Michele Morrison. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. A graveside service for Robert is set to begin at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Bill Irwin officiating.
