Richard Clyde Horner

Richard Clyde Horner was born on August 30, 1945, to JW “Red” Horner and Thelma Louise (Spradlin) Horner, in Brawley, California. He entered into his eternal rest on June 15, 2020, at his home in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Richard has been a resident of Lindsay for most of his life. He was a member of the Lindsay First Assembly of God. He spent most of his working life building homes and was a retired fireman. Richard married the love of his life Carol Marie White on November 28, 1992, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. They celebrated 27 wonderful years together. Richard loved life and all it had to offer. His greatest treasure was his family and loved all the time he got to spend with them at gatherings and on vacations. He also enjoyed time spent wood working. He was a hard worker and a great example of a godly man. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carol (White) Horner, children, Greg Horner and wife Shannon, Richie Shelton and husband Mike, Kent Kelly and wife Stephanie, Derrick Kelly and wife Kassie, grandchildren, Jarrett Shelton, Meagan Jones, Justin Taylor, Blake Shelton, Britnie Horner, Nicole Horner, Tyler Moore, Chanze Moore, Trey Kelly, Tori Shinton, Rayden Hill, Shawn Kelly, Carson Kelly, Ashley Kelly, Braydon Mitchell, Brenna Kelly, and Hailyn Kelly, and great grandchildren, Jacelyn, Kayden, Xander, Jaxxon, Tucker, Beau, Jax, Rayleigh, Kash, Emberly, and Ellie. He is preceded in death by his parents, JW “Red” and Thelma Horner, and his brother, Elvin Horner. A funeral service to honor the life of Richard is set to begin at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June, 18, 2020, at the First Assembly of God in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He will be laid to his final rest following the service at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
