Patricia Sue Emerson

Patricia Sue (McLellan) Emerson was born on March 10, 1944, to David Garner McLellan and Vera Earlene (Matthews) McLellan in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on December 3, 2024, at her home in El Reno, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Pat spent most of her life in Lindsay, Oklahoma and was a member of the Lindsay Girl Scouts. She attended Lindsay High School, where she excelled at playing the clarinet and continued this craft throughout her college years. Pat eventually graduated with a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Because of this, she was a proud member of the OU Alumni. She loved all things music. She played the clarinet, guitar, piano and organ. She was a talented piano and organ player at her home church, First Christian Church in Lindsay. After many years, Pat married the love of her life, Bobby Emerson, in 1992. They celebrated 25 beautiful years of marriage before his passing on September 26, 2017. She proudly served in the United States Air National Guard as Lieutenant Colonel. While also working as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital. She retired in 1995 after a total of 28 years. She had many hobbies, such as oil painting, travelling, calligraphy, and crocheting anything she set her mind to like blankets, stockings and scarves. She loved animals, but most especially her pet cat, Callie, her spoiled grand dog, Maddie. Most of all she loved her only grandson, Nickolas. Pat is survived by her daughter, Leslie and husband Sergio Factuar of El Reno, Oklahoma, her brother, Don and wife Marilyn McLellan of Fullerton, California, her grandson, Nickolas Sanchez of El Reno, Oklahoma, and many family and friends. Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Emerson of the home, her parents, David Garner McLellan and Vera Earlene McLellan, and her brother, Gary McLellan. A funeral service to honor Pat is set to begin on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Pat will be laid to rest following the service at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
