Oteka Luttrell

Oteka "Teki" Welch Luttrell went into her heavenly Father?s arms suddenly on April 6, 2006 at the bedside of her beloved husband Jack Luttrell of 19 years. Teki was born to Nelson and Gertrude Jones Welch in Purdy, Oklahoma in 1918. She had a wonderful family with three other sisters. Teki went to high school and graduated early with honors and then went on to nursing school. In 1937 she married Dave Dixon Dillard, Jr. and they were known as the most "devoted and loving couple". She had a wonderful life with him for 49 years and lost him to cancer in 1985. During their marriage, she gave birth to Pamela K. Dillard in August of 1941, "the joy of her life", whom she lost suddenly in December of 2004. Teki has two grandchildren, Brooke Kasper of Dallas and Tyler Dillard Boydstun of Hawaii and a son-in-law, Les Boydstun, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. She was blessed with two incredible great grandsons, William Cameron Mason, III (23) and Tyler Chase Kasper (11) who were the "apples of her eyes". Teki was a brilliant, elegant, classy, loving, kind and generous woman. She was an incredible artist and had such a love for golf all of her life, winning a senior golf tournament at the age of 81. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Teki could not have adored us more. She was the most wonderful Christian with such grace, and wisdom that takes a lifetime to learn. Of all her achievements and gifts, most of all she was the most loving, loyal person to her family. She always taught me to "keep a smile on my face, love in my heart, and to give EVERYTHING to Jesus! She taught me to "Trust the Lord". She was the "Virtuous Woman" that God spoke of in Proverbs 31. God blessed her with two incredible loving precious husbands in one lifetime, not to mention her daughter, granddaughter, grandson and 2 great-grandsons who honor and love her beyond words. Written by her daughter "Pam" in her Bible is: Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women have done excellently but? "You" surpass them all! We love you Teki! We are rejoicing with you in your reunion with your loved ones and Jesus! Funeral services were held on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home.
