Kylie Breanne Newey

Kylie Breanne Newey passed tragically and unexpectedly from this life on July 17, 2019 at the age of 24 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Kylie was born on November 9th, 1994 to James Newey and Kristy (Kuykendall) Phillips in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She attended Lindsay Public School where she graduated in May 2013. Her love of Science and her desire to care for and to heal others led her to choose a career as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She earned her degree at Oklahoma City Community College where she graduated in May of 2017. Kylie worked at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, and had returned to school to pursue a degree in Nursing. Kylie was bursting with life. She was both vibrant and vivacious. To know her was to know joy. If you were around her you just couldn’t help but smile, especially when she would unleash the most animated and infectious laugh heard around the world….literally. She also had a profound love and unwavering devotion for her family. As the oldest of four she was the fiercest protector of her siblings. Her world revolved around making those that she loved happy. There was no lengths that she wouldn’t go to put a smile on their faces, especially those of her three year old sister, Ava, and her five year old niece, Scout, which were her entire world. Kylie was smart, strong, incredibly driven and succeeded in anything she put her mind to. Her outward beauty was no comparison to the beauty inside; her compassion and acceptance of all those she met was abounding. Kylie was always one to exude confidence; she was sure of herself and proud of the woman she was and the person she was becoming. Kylie was meticulous and never strayed from the path she created. She had a sense of humor that at times only those closest to her could understand and she loved to make her family laugh. Kylie loved to shop, almost as much as she loved to nap especially with her “fur baby” Vinny. Most importantly Kylie loved hard, lived life to the fullest and left nothing on the table. Her absence leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all those who loved her the most. Kylie is survived by her parents, James Newey and Kristy (Kuykendall) Phillips along with her step-father Adam Phillips. Her “bubby” Kaden Newey and two sisters Ava Phillips and Sierra Newey, along with her brother-in-law Jarred Scyrkels. She also leaves behind her nieces Scout and Haylin Scyrkels. She is survived by her maternal grandparents Karren Kuykendall, Donna and husband Randy Dutton along with her great-grandfather Lonnie “Buddy” Harrell. Her aunts and uncles Kari Kuykendall, Heath Kuykendall, Terry and Richard Avery and John T Newey III. She also leaves behind a host of cousins and extended family as well as a multitude of friends and admired colleagues. She is preceded in death by a step-father, James Keesee, maternal grandfather Tommy Kuykendall, her paternal grandfather John T. Newey II, her maternal great-grandparents Willie “Frank” Kuykendall and wife Willie Mae Beam, Wanda Harrell, Bill Ballard, paternal great-grandparents Allie Mae Easlon. and John T. Newey, and a great uncle Dean Kuykendall. A Celebration of Life is set to begin at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Charles K. Heatly Arena in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest following the service at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
