Jewel Inzel Tucker

Jewel Inzel Tucker departed this life on March 2, 2010 at Lindsay Manor in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 85. She was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma on April 13th, 1924 to L.P. and Victoria Duncan. Jewel married J.E. "Chug" Tucker on July 4, 1941 in McClain County, Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in Lindsay except for brief periods in Elk City and Norman, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was very active until her health failed a few years ago. Jewel was in retail sales her entire working career. She was employed at Cruse?s Department Store, Shepler?s Western Wear in Oklahoma City and Goodner?s in Lindsay. She enjoyed working in the public and meeting new people. Jewel?s favorite times were spent with her family and friends at sporting events. She loved watching her nieces and nephews, then later her great-nieces and nephews compete in rodeos, football, basketball and baseball. She was an avid fan of all sports on TV. She would cheer them on from her favorite chair in her living room. It was always fun to watch with her because she would get so excited. Jewel also loved to travel. Not long before her health forced her to stay home, she and her son Steve enjoyed a great Christmas trip to Nashville, Tennessee. Jewel is survived by her son, Steven Eugene Tucker, sister-in-law, Reba Sue Duncan of Lindsay, Oklahoma, niece, Brenda Breeze of Sayre, Oklahoma and nephews, Paul Duncan and wife Janice of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Tommy Duncan and wife Tracy of Cement, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and even great-great nieces and nephews that all remember her as "our fun and silly Aunt Jewelry"! Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, seven brothers and four sisters. Funeral services for Jewel are set for three o?clock p.m. on Friday, March 5th, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Brant Stubblefield officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
