Jessie Irene McCoy

Jessie Irene McCoy of Lindsay, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 20th, 2010. She passed from this life at Moore Nursing Home in Moore, Oklahoma at the age of ninety-three. Jessie was born to William Gullage Bryant and Lula Mae (Simmons) Bryant on May 20th, 1917 in Whitebead, Oklahoma. Jessie was a lifetime resident of the Lindsay area. She raised her family here, and she had proudly worked as a nurse at the Lindsay Municipal Hospital. Jessie was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay. She loved sewing and gardening. Jessie felt grateful to have been here to see her family grow to include a fifth generation starting with Jessie and ending with her three year old great-great grandson, Drake. Mrs. McCoy is survived by her two sons; Causine McCoy of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Cecil McCoy of Moore, Oklahoma, her two daughters; Vanjo (McCoy) Nesmith of Mobile, Alabama and Patty (McCoy) Harras of Napa, California, three sisters; Molly Dawes, Joyce Woods and Claudine Blackwell and one sister-in-law, Inge Bryant. Jessie also leaves behind eleven grandchildren; Gerald Yandell, Gloyd McCoy, Lloyd McCoy, Terry Yandell, Gary McCoy, Kimberly Oliver, Monte McCoy, Kayla Skinner, Shelby Harras, Brandi Morrow and Kyle McCoy along with twenty-two great-grandchildren; Justin Yandell, Brandon Yandell, Ryan Yandell, A?Lesha Yandell, Brenna Worley, Terra Yandell, Cody Yandell, Gabriella McCoy, Jazmin McCoy, Lloyd McCoy Jr., Erin McCoy, Mallory McCoy, Brianna Greathouse, McKenna Greathouse, Brinlee Morrow, Paulina Good, Isabella Good, Jamie Skinner, Chelbie Skinner, Jessica Wilcox, Lynnsie Skinner and Jacob Skinner as well as her great-great grandson, Michael Drake Worley. Preceding Mrs. McCoy in death were her parents, William Gullage Bryant and Lula Mae (Simmons) Bryant, one sister, Frankie Jones and one brother, Cecil Bryant. Funeral services for Mrs. McCoy are set for ten o?clock a.m. on Friday, June 25th, 2010 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma located at 410 W. Chickasaw Street with Rev. David Guerrero officiating and Gloyd McCoy assisting. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Serving as Pallbearers are Mrs. McCoy?s seven grandsons.
