Iva Janet Reneau

Janet "Jan" Reneau of Cushing, Oklahoma departed this life on February 20, 2010 in Moore, Oklahoma at the age of 91. She was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on November 6, 1918 to William Eliga Davis and Ethel Lee (Flippen) Davis. Jan married Val C. Reneau on January 4, 1935 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Jan lived in the Healdton, Oklahoma area until she married her husband, V.C. Reneau. She and V.C. lived in numerous cities and states while V.C. worked for Shell Oil Company. She first moved to Cushing in 1950 and loved it so much. They returned there several times before she and V.C. made it their permanent home in 1973. Jan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cushing. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Cushing Country Club and various Bridge Clubs. She was a beautician and beauty instructor, and her grandchildren say she was the "Greatest Granny in the World". Jan?s favorite things were her family, church, Eastern Star, line dancing, Cushing Senior Citizens Center activities and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Reneau is survived by her sons Val Carlton Reneau of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Harrison Danny Reneau of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one sister, June Featherston and one brother, Jimmy Davis, her grandchildren; Valerie R. Rowden of Oklahoma City, OK, John T. Rowden of Columbia, South Carolina, Robyn Ridling of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Val Carlton Reneau II of Cushing, Oklahoma, Brandi Cook of Morristown, Tennessee and Patsy Guerrero of New York City, New York. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren; Pate Matthews, Jr., Ryan Ridling, Richelle Ridling, Risa Ridling, Ciera Reneau, Cody Reneau, Morgan Rowden, Bailey Rowden, Eden Cook, Isaac Cook, Emma Cook, Corbin Cook, Canaan Cook, and Sophie Guerrero along with one great-great grandchild, Zoie Reneau. Preceding Mrs. Reneau in death were her husband, V.C. Reneau, her parents, William Eliga Davis and Ethel Lee Davis, one daughter Patsy Ruth Rowden, one sister, Verna Mae Bray and one brother, Dick Davis. Funeral services for Mrs. Reneau are set for eleven o?clock a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel at 308 S.W. Third Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Daryl Rainey officiating. Commital is set for two thirty o?clock p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G.
