Harold Dean Dover

Harold Dean Dover, beloved son, father, and grandfather, left this life too soon on October 11, 2024, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 54. Dean was born November 7, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Thomas Leon Dover and Carolyn Joe (Crossland) Dover. Dean spent all of his life in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He graduated from Lindsay High School and was a member of the Assembly of God church. Dean was a hardworking farmer. From cattle to crops, he did it all, and did it well. He worked for several different farms in the Lindsay area over the years. Dean had many things that he filled his time with. He enjoyed going fishing and camping at the river. Dean also had a talent to fix anything mechanical, especially any car you put in front of him. He loved to watch movies and play video games with his kids. Dean could put a smile on anyone’s face, especially by pulling practical jokes on people, or joining in ongoing joking fun. Dean’s greatest treasure in life were his children and grandchildren, and he cherished every moment that he was able to spend with them. Dean leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his three children, Nathan Dover and wife, Jami, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Lisa Dover and husband, David Reamy, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Justin Dover and wife, Ashley, of Duncan, Oklahoma. Dean was also a cherished grandfather to his nine grandchildren, Eaden (14), Mason (12), Charisma (12), Evelynn (8), Emberly (5), Carter (8), Myla (4), Kyler (1), Leonardo (7), and soon to be born baby girl, Wrenleigh. Dean is also survived by his father, Thomas Dover, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his sister, Stephanie Carlisle of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and many other beloved relatives and friends. Dean was a kindhearted man that touched many lives. He lived an adventurous life and passed on many teachable moments and words of wisdom. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace. Dean is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn (Crossland) Dover. A funeral service to honor Dean’s life is set to be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at The First Church, 606 NW 7th, in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
