Grady Bunch

Grady Bunch was born on January 3, 1922 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Elihu "Buck" Bunch and Ora Lee (Largent) Bunch. He graduated from Hughes High School. He served his country during World War II (from 1942 to 1945) as a member of the U. S. Navy Seabees. Grady married Imogene "Jean" Yarbrough in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on August 11, 1945. He was a 92 year resident of Lindsay, and worked in the oilfield for thirty years as a roustabout and a gang pusher. He retired from Cities Service Oil Company in 1983. Grady enjoyed farming and driving his John Deere Tractors. He was well known in the community, and he loved to talk to people. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a door greeter. He was also a member of the 56th Seabees. Grady passed from this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his home in Lindsay. His presence will be greatly missed in his community and by all those who knew and loved him. Grady is survived by his beloved wife, Imogene "Jean" Bunch, two sons, Dwayne Bunch and wife Su of Yukon, Oklahoma and Kent Bunch and wife Frances of Lindsay, Oklahoma, two brothers, Cecil Bunch of Clovis, New Mexico and Louis Bunch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one sister, Bonnie Holder of Naples, Florida, a nephew who was like a brother, Troy Bunch of Sylmar, California and two grandchildren, Greg Bunch and wife Kimberly of Yukon, Oklahoma and Gretta Rowold and husband Matt of Norman, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Kailee Carter, Bryson Bunch, Cameron Bunch and Liam Rowold. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Ora Lee Bunch, and six brothers: Houston, Dink, Preston, Jack, Leonard and Donald. Funeral services for Mr. Bunch are set for Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, located at 401 S.W. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Bro. Terry Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
