Ed Hearon

Ed Hearon of Lindsay, Oklahoma departed this life on Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at his home at the age of 75. Ed was born on November 18th, 1933 in Bradley, Oklahoma to Bluford Chester Hearon and Katie May (Dunn) Hearon. He married Helen Marie Self on December 24th, 1950. Ed was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandkids would much rather be at his house than their own and often were. His family knew he was always there when they needed him, and they highly valued his opinions and advice. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Due to his deep faith in God, he was at peace with the Lord and was ready for whatever lay ahead of him. Ed farmed and raised cattle in the Lindsay area for 45 years and was always glad to help out a neighbor or a friend. He loved to hunt, fish, play dominoes and watch boxing on TV, but his absolute favorite thing to do was to sneak up behind and scare the living daylights out of any unsuspecting family member. He loved to play practical jokes and was always ready for a good laugh, funny joke or story. Ed was dearly loved and will be missed more than words can express. Ed is survived by his wife, Helen Hearon of Lindsay, two daughters, Margaret Pfaff and husband Ed of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Linda Evans and husband Terry of Lindsay, Oklahoma, one son, Rodney Hearon of Lindsay, Oklahoma, one sister, Betty Kent and three brothers; Bobby Hearon, Dale Hearon and Dwight Hearon. Survivors of Mr. Hearon also include seven grandchildren; Geri Schwarz of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Eddie Nichols of Dodge City, Kansas, Savanna Evans of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Zac Hearon of Maysville, Oklahoma, Ben Hearon of Maysville, Oklahoma, Jacob Evans of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Morgan Hearon of Purcell, Oklahoma along with three great-grandchildren; Erich, Anelise and Carmen Schwarz of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Hearon was preceded in death by his parents, Bluford and Katie Hearon, four brothers; Willie Hearon, Junior Hearon, Charles Hearon and J.B. Hearon and two sisters; Josie Davault and Dean Thomason. Funeral services for Mr. Hearon are set for two o?clock p.m., Saturday, June 13th, 2009 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Bro. Bill Love officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G.
