David Charles Ince

David Charles Ince joined his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, September 1st, 2013, while visiting his father in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet L. Ince; children, Jared Mitchell Ince, 24, and Janaye Michelle Moore Ince, 19; father, Jack Ince and wife Pauleen Ince; sister, Brenda Hill, sister, Sheila Rutledge and husband Danny; brother, Mike Ince; brother-in-law, Brian Cox; and mother-in-law, B. Carletta Moore. He is the uncle of 6 nephews, 3 nieces, and 9 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Ince, sister, Teresea Cox, and father-in-law, Harvey D. Moore. David and family have lived in Tomball, Texas for the last 10 years and are members of the Woodland Oaks Church of Christ in The Woodlands, Texas. He worked for 35 years for Mobil Oil and ExxonMobil in his earlier years as a Pipeline Field Supervisor and an Operations Controller in recent years. David loved taking his family on vacations around the world. As a family they have traveled 46 of the 50 states, as well as London, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, and several Eastern and Western Caribbean Islands. While on vacation, he enjoyed trying new foods, seeing the sights, and learning about other cultures. Though it took longer, he loved driving the back roads; he loved the journey. When he wasn?t spending time with his family on vacations, he always had some sort of woodworking project under construction, a nightstand for Janaye?s American Girl dolls, complete with little hangers for the doll?s clothes, a big playhouse for both children to enjoy, a computer armoire for Janet, and many, many others. Before leaving for his father?s house, he made sure he had his audio Bible for the long drive; he always listened to it during his daily commute. He was a man who loved God and taught his children to follow Jesus. Some special memories shared with his children include fishing and camping trips with son, Jared, and football half-time Daddy-Daughter performances with daughter, Janaye. He enjoyed lying in his hammock, cooking delicious meals, and joking with everyone. David will always be remembered as a man who enjoyed life, laughter and conversation. Services for Mr. Ince will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 2:00 at Erin Springs Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Tony Keesee and John Henley officiating, and a memorial service on Sunday, September 8th at 3:00 at The Woodlland Oaks Church of Christ in The Woodlands, Texas. He will be laid to rest at Erin Springs Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to a memorial fund for missions at Woodland Oaks Church of Christ at 7300 Crownridge Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382 or to Aggies for Christ at 2475 Earl Rudder Freeway South, College Station, TX 77845.
