Carolyn Sue Ramos

Carolyn Sue Ramos went to her “home home” on May 6th, 2024 following a brief battle with cancer. The last few weeks of her life she was constantly surrounded by the people who loved her so much. Sue was a selfless Mom and Nana that had a passion for making gorgeous quilts and loved to yard sale with her girls. Born and raised in Oklahoma, her family made their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado for many years where many lifelong friendships and adventures were made in the beautiful outdoors, during those years she was a dedicated motocross Mom, most weekends spent traveling, camping and supporting Jake’s racing. She was a very talented leather seamstress, making beautiful handbags and wallets at Colorado Leather Goods. She taught the values of love, hard work, positivity, thoughtfulness, and the selfless sacrifice for your family. She was preceded in death by her true love and husband of 42 years, Rex Ramos Jr., her parents, Grady and Ruth Vaughn, and siblings, Donald Vaughn, Frankie Vaughn, and Glenda Wade. She is survived by her two children, Cherri and Robbie Barber of Mcloud, and Jake and Charlotte Ramos of Moore, a sweetheart Jay Jordan, her grandchildren, KayDee and Ross Couch, Tommy and Mackenzie Weese, BranDee Weese and Collin Strand, Chance and Madison Duncan, Sarah Barber, CodyRamos and Bekah Koch, Cameron and Becca Ramos, Blainnah Barber, Canaan Barber, Preston Barber, Chloe Ramos, Jordan and Hannah Nett, and Ashley Nett, and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Greyson Couch, Memphis and Lucky Duncan, Norah Nett and Fenrir Koch. She will be missed fiercely and her memory treasured until we see all her again. A funeral service to honor Carolyn is set to begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Wilbourn Family Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Carolyn will be laid to rest following the service at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, Oklahoma.
