Betty Lou VanHooser

Betty Lou VanHooser passed away on January 8, 2007 at the age of 74. She was born on January 14, 1932 in Catoosa, Oklahoma to Jacob Fulton and Minerva Garrison. Betty was a graduate of Cyril High School and married Bill R. Gibson who was the father of their 4 children. They made their home in Lindsay in 1957 and were married for 40 years. Bill passed away in 1991. Betty then married Neal VanHooser in Lindsay, Oklahoma on March 18, 1992. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading her Bible and her daily devotionals. Betty enjoyed many things in life including bowling, playing piano, spending time with her family working in the yard and playing Skip-bo. Betty found pleasure in being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Bill, and one brother, Tommy Garrison. Betty is survived by her husband, Neal and children; Janette Bunch and husband Bill of Lindsay, Oklahoma, B. K. Gibson and wife Vickie of Burleson, Texas, Barbara Winn and husband Larry of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Lanette Roe and fiancé Mike King of Midwest City, Oklahoma, her brothers and sisters; Alice Lovely and husband Bob of Oklahoma City, Margie Birdwell of Altus, Oklahoma, Johnny Garrison and wife Laquita of Burleson, Texas, Norma Jordan and husband Jake of Mesquite, Texas. Betty also leaves behind her grandchildren; Buffy Eidelstein and husband, Chris of Frisco, Texas, Brandi Ramming and husband Randy of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Bambi Martin and husband Drew of Ada, Oklahoma, Justin Bunch and wife Sheree of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Brandon Winn and wife Nicole of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Jennifer Ince and husband Kyle of Durant, Oklahoma, Kourtney Roe of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Katelyn Roe of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and her great-grandchildren; Coty, Brittany and Broty Ramming, Austin and Seth Bunch, Abigail and Ashlyn Winn all of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services for Mrs. VanHooser will be on Wednesday January 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
