Betty Ruth Robbins

Betty Ruth Robbins was born to James Arthur and Gladys Henson on December 9, 1934, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She died Saturday, May 23, 2026. Betty graduated in 1952, from Lindsay High School, where she played softball and baseball. She worked as a cook and waitress before working as a seamstress and a floor manager at the Lindsay Dress Factory for 17 years. At age 43 she began a career as a hairdresser in Lindsay. She did not retire until she was 84 years old. Betty married Phindle Robbins when she was 17 years old, in 1952. Phindle passed away in August of 2013, they were married for 61 wonderful years. She had three children: Mickey Lynn, Rockey Ray and Stoney Brooke. Betty married Jason Frame in 2017. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gladys Henson (Freeman), her husband Phindle Robbins, and her brothers, Virgil, Purman, Eulys, and Odis Henson. Betty is survived by her husband, Jason Frame, her sister, Mary (Babe) Beckham, her children and their spouses, Mickey and Randy Goshorn, Rockey and Sharla Robbins, and Stoney and Cyndi Robbins, her grandchildren and their families are, Shannan and Amy Rhodes, and their children, Savannah and Ashlynn; Brandon and Myka Rhodes, and their children, Phinley and Lyla; Jesse Robbins and Teresa Canizarez; Necia Chronister and Eric Hoffpauir and their daughter Nola; Lindsey and Adam Mrowinski and their children, Bond, Quinn, River and Korla; Brooks and Cassie Robbins, and their children, Emma, Adalynn and Pierce; Deven and Hunter Garrison;Tess and Brandon Jackson, and their son, Stoney Eugene; Alexia and Daniel Hines. Betty has four more great grandchildren due this summer. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews; she loved them all! Betty’s greatest legacy was her capacity to create loving spaces for her family, friends and customers. Betty looked forward to going to ball games to watch her children and grandchildren play ball. One of Betty’s favorite outings was shopping! She wouldn’t just shop for herself, she shopped for her family too. Betty also enjoyed going out with Phindle and their friends – some of them were Wayne and Virginia Yandell, Mickey and Linda Newby, Bob and Charlene Cantrell, Geneva and Jimmy George. She also enjoyed her many visits with Kim Dutton. Betty will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Wilbourn Family Funeral Home.
