Andrew Geffre

Andrew "Andy" Geffre departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 82. Andy was born on October 4, 1931 in LaMoure, North Dakota to Joseph and Johanna Geffre. He married Madeline Rushing on May 27, 1952 in Ozark, Alabama. Andy served his country as a member of the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War. He moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1968 where he owned and operated Geffre?s Appliance Repair. He was a member of St. Peter?s Catholic Church in Lindsay. Andy enjoyed traveling to visit family and fishing in the Gulf, and he loved spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered by many and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Andy is survived by his beloved wife Madeline, three daughters; Wanda Piatt and husband Dennis, Angela Stone and husband David and Amanda Geffre and Tony Craig, daughter-in-law, Sue Geffre, five brothers: Sebastian Geffre, Joe Geffre, Bill Geffre, Denny Geffre and Irvin Geffre, four sisters; Jean Schimke, Helen Andrys, Teresa Erickson and Peggy Murphy, his grandchildren: Jennifer Piatt, Paul Geffre, Regina Sanders, Elisa Lees, Juliet Geffre, Patricia Lake, Robert Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Clayton Stone and Jessica Stone. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Sophia and Noah Geffre and Brycen and Leila Sanders. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Rickey Geffre, one daughter, Pamela Rodriguez, three brothers; Peter Geffre, Paul Geffre and Charles Geffre and two sisters; Ann Busby and Eva Steiner. There will be a Wake for Andy on Sunday evening, January 26, 2014, from seven to nine p.m. at the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel, located at 308 S.W. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Geffre is set for two o?clock p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Peter?s Catholic Church, located on S.E. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Rev. Shane Tharp will be officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay with military honors by American Legion Ball-Smith Post 23. Services are under the direction of B.G.
