Thomas Manuel Stephenson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thomas Manuel Stephenson of Lindsay, Oklahoma was kind and gentle. A good man who left a great example to follow to all who were privileged to know him. Thomas was born in Bradley, Oklahoma, on July 17, 1940, to Arvel T. Stephenson and Lizzie Belle (Cutler) Stephenson. He was named after his paternal great grandfather, John Thomas Stephenson, and his maternal grandfather, Ira Manuel Cutler. Thomas lived in Lindsay all of his life. He farmed and ranched for the Bridwell family most of his life, beginning in 1962. He also attended the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Lindsay Historical Society. Thomas did not have the easiest life, but he definitely made the most of it. He loved to fish, weld, and watch farm shows. And he especially enjoyed eating watermelon on the back porch with friends and family. Thomas was preceded in death by his father and mother: Arvel and Lizzie Stephenson; his paternal grandparents: Phillip Edward Stephenson, Edna Stephenson Price, and Elbert Price; and his maternal grandparents: Ira Manuel Cutler and Bessie Belle Cutler. Thomas passed away on June 18, 2018. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him. Funeral services for Thomas will be Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Following the service, he will laid to his final rest at Erin Springs Cemetery in Erin Springs, Oklahoma.
