September 21, 1944 - October 21, 2021
Rose Ann (Landrum) Selzer was born on September 21, 1944, to Robert Charles Landrum and Martha Louelle (Jacobs) Landrum. She entered into her eternal reward on October 21, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 77. Rose has been a resident of Bradley since she was eleven years old. She graduated from Oklahoma University in 1984 with her Nursing Degree. She was a practicing nurse for thirty years. Rose loved the Lord and she lived her life as a reflection of that. Rose married the love of her life Gene Selzer, in Gainesville, Texas, on August 3, 1959. They celebrated forty-one years together until his passing in November of 2000. Rose loved her children and she did whatever she could to be a positive voice in their life. She was a member of the Mother's Club, coached softball, was on the Executive Board of the PTA, and was a Girl Scout's leader for many years. Rose found enjoyment in flower gardening and the beauty it brought. She was also a collector of angel figurines. Rose loved just sitting on the patio enjoying the peace of the outdoors and drinking a cup of coffee. She loved her family and enjoyed the time that was spent with them. She was a proud Oklahoman and Sooner fan. Rose was full of life and spunk. She always had an opinion and was not afraid to share it. She lived by voicing her truth and saying, "Do the best you can." She was a great example of how life should be lived. Rose had a heart of pure gold. She put others first and left a smile on the faces of those she came in contact with. Rose was truly a special lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Martha Landrum, her husband, Ernest Selzer, brothers, Ronnie Landrum and Bobbie Landrum, and twin great grandchildren, Emma and Gabriel Davis. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Debbie Owen, Deana Davis, and DeAnna Chunn; her sisters: Sue Capps, Kay Jenkins-Plumley, Mae Norris, Brenda Shircliff, Linda Willcox; her brothers: Lonnie Landrum, Bruce Landrum, and Dickie Landrum; her grandchildren: Charlie, Rachel, Sarah, Donnie, Josh, Danna, and Elizabeth; and great grandchildren: Ava, Charlie Jean, Kamree, Kooper, Kolbie, Kenzie, Chassidy, Annabelle, and Lilian. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Wilbourn Family Funeral Home in Lindsay. A graveside service for Rose is set to begin at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the Bradley Cemetery in Bradley, Oklahoma with her grandson, Ernest Charles “Charlie” Selzer officiating.
