Ronnie Joe Morris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ronnie “Ron” Joe Morris was born on March 22, 1951, to Elijah Coy Morris and Edna Marie (Hill) Morris in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was called home to be with his Lord on August 7, 2021, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70. Ron was a life time resident of Chickasha, and Alex, Oklahoma, except for 21 years spent in Western Oklahoma. Ron was a high school graduate of Am-Po in 1970. He was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Alex, Oklahoma. His first job was welding at Morris Brothers building horse trailers. His early beginnings allowed him to develop a skill for welding so he spent the rest of his working career as a welder in the oilfield. Ron was also a volunteer fireman and EMT for the Ninnekah Fire Department. Ron enlisted in the United States Navy in November 5, 1971, and he proudly served his country until February 7, 1975. Ron met the love of his life Dianna Miller and they married in Wichita Falls, Texas, on August 6, 1980. Together they had one son, Coy. The two just celebrated forty-one years of marriage before his passing. Ron loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was a big talker and it was one of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed conversations with his family and friends. Ron was a wonderful man who touched the lives of many. He found joy in the little things and treasured the time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Edna Morris, brother, Alan Dale Morris, and two sisters, Sharon Marie Sturgeon, and Carolyn Sue Williams. Left to cherish Ron’s memory is his wife, Dianna Morris of Chickasha, son, Coy Morris and wife Sammy of Alex, daughter, Janeta Montalbo and husband Mike, and grandchildren, Rheanna Montalbo, Gracie Montalbo, and Tabatha Davidson. A graveside service to honor the life of Ron is set to begin at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Alex Cemetery in Alex, Oklahoma.
