Purman Henson
December 21, 1930 - July 22, 2004
Purman passed away at his home south of Lindsay at the age of 73. He was born December 21, 1930 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to J.A. Henson and Sarah Gladys Freeman Henson. Purman lived all of his life in the Lindsay community. He attended the Lindsay High School and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. Purman did farm work most of his life. Purman could often be seen jogging on Highway 19 throughout the Lindsay area, and always had a smile and a wave for the passing vehicles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Gladys Henson and one brother, Virgil Henson. Purman is survived by two brothers, Eulys Henson, Odos Henson and two sisters, Betty Robbins and Mary Beckham. Purman also leaves behind a, host of nieces and nephews, Patty Maass, Martha Kiehn, Michael Henson, Lori Parker, Danny Henson, Tony Henson, Diane Collins, Kelli Freeman, Mickey Grimes, Rocky Robbins, Stoney Robbins, Kim Hall, Mark Henson, Jim Beckham, Johnny Beckham, and Dana Heatly. Memorial Services for Purman will be held Monday, July 26, 2004 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, Erin Springs, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of B. G.
