Marlilyn Etta Carey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marilyn Etta Carey entered her eternal reward on December 16, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. She was born to Raymond Ray Trout and Wilma Leona (Happy) Trout, on September 25, 1944, in Deer Trail, Colorado. Marilyn has lived in Northeast Oklahoma since 1977. Before that, she lived in Colorado around the Denver area. She was a member of the Craig County Republican Party; she was a judge for her precinct. Marilyn spent her career as a bookkeeper and accountant for multiple companies including American Airlines, Wal-Mart, and the family trucking company. Marilyn married Bobby Dale Carey in Denver, Colorado, on April 22, 1961. They celebrated sixty years together filled with love and adventure. Born to this union were five children, Debbie, DeeAnn, Traci, Curtis, and Tammi. Marilyn loved Jesus; she lived her life in service to Him. Her greatest treasure was her family; she loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything. Her pet dog, Gidget, whom she adored, was a faithful companion. Marilyn was a wonderful homemaker and loved helping anyone that she could. She truly took the best care of her family and everything that she did was for them. Marilyn had a heart of gold and left lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bobby Dale Carey; her children: Debbie Curl of Haskell, Oklahoma, DeeAnn Helm and husband Mike of Arkansas, Traci Carey of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; Curtis Carey and wife Ritsuko of Kansas City, Kansas; Tammi Sitsler and husband Jason of Foyil, Oklahoma; her brothers: Walt Trout and wife Ann of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Tim Trout and wife Shelly of Branson, Missouri; her sisters: Jacque Donley of Payton, Colorado; Jill Johnson and husband Oscar of Colorado; Marcia Fortcamp and husband Tim of Willow Springs, Missouri; her grandchildren: Amber, Jacob, April, Tiffany, Krystal, Tim, Jonathan, James, Jennifer, Clay, Matthew, Chris, Ryan, Jared, Alex, and Tim; great-grandchildren: Sierra, Gracee, Berklee, Reuben, Adalyn, Ezekiel, Havilah, Avie, Paisly, Story, Moses, Jovi, Barrett, Makayla, Annabelle, William, Lilly, Elaina, Ivy Rose, Ryker, Sterling, James Jr., Bibianna, Brooklynn, Maci Jo, Joe, Shawn, and Lexi. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Wilma Trout. Visitation for Marilyn will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at the Wilbourn Family Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. A graveside service to honor the life of Marilyn is set to begin at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
