Marilyn Stroud

Marilyn Stroud , age 53, of Lindsay, OK passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Norman Regional Hospital after a length illness. Marilyn was born on September 11, 1948 in Brownfield, Texas to Ora "Buck" Alcorn and Mildred Bauer - Alcorn. She was a bookkeeper and enjoyed Fishing, Camping, Gardening , Crochet, spending time with her grandchildren and Sewing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Hughes FCE. Marilyn was a loving mother, mother-in-law and nanny. She is survived by her husband Doug of the home. They were married on May 23, 1964 in Wewoka, OK; by her children Tammy and Robert Chandler of Lindsay; Vickie Nunley and David Nunley of Maysville; Jason and Jamie Stroud of Maysville; and Dustin Stroud and Crystal Powell of Maysville. Grandchildren Amanda, Vanessa, and Tanya Chandler; Derick and Destiny Nunley; and Haylie Stroud. She is preceded in death by both parents; and sister Carolyn Gates. Services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, OK at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating and Rev. Bill Love assisting. She will be laid to rest at Bradley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gary Henson, Derrick Taylor, Andy Register, Willie Slay, Freddie Slay, and Ray Holman. Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Lewis, James Robertson, her sons and son-in laws. Memorials may be viewed online at www.boydstonfuneral home.com Arrangements are with B. G.
