Jim V. Adams, 91, of Lindsay, OK passed away in Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, OK on September 7, 2000. He was born in Scullen, OK on February 14, 1909 to Irvin A. Adams and Cardelia Roberts Adams. Jim worked as a carpenter in the construction business before retiring. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Dibble, OK. Survivors include one son, J.V. Adams of Lindsay, OK; and one daughter, Evelyn Kay Goins of Norman, OK. Grandchildren are Victor Adams, Corinth, TX; Michelle McCurrach, McKinney, TX; Crissy Grover, Dallas, TX; and Cindy Pearson, Phoenix, AZ. Great grandchildren are Garrett McCurrach and Madison McCurrach, McKinney, TX; Victoria Adams, Justin Adams and Ailie Adams, Corinth, TX. One brother, Delbert Daniel Adams of Lindsay, OK; and sister, Mary Jane Eubank of Chickasha, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan True Adams on December 18, 1997. They were married in Lindsay, OK on March 4, 1938. He is also preceded in death by both parents; and four brothers, Joe Adams, Henry Adams, Charlie Adams and Haskell Adams; and two sisters, Ruby Ballard and Vesta Tucker. Funeral services will be held at the Banner Baptist Church on Monday, September 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joe Howard officiating. He will be laid to rest in Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay. Pallbearers will be Terry Adams, Greg Adams, Victor Adams, Roy True, Jr., Tal Staggs, Doyle Vinson and Scott McCurrach. Arrangements are with B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, OK.
