Jack Carson

Jack Carson, age 81, of Lindsay, OK, passed away on November 15, 2000 in Norman, OK. He was born in Lindsay on October 22, 1919 to Jack Milton Carson and Bill McNamara Carson. He was raised in the Erin Springs area. He was married to Dorras Collins Carson in 1949 in Gainsville, TX. A member of the United Methodist Church and the Lindsay American Legion Post # 23. He served in the United States Marines and was retired from construction. Survivors include his wife, Dorras of the home; children Kit Jacobs and husband, Danny of Norman, OK; Jim Carson and wife Glenda of Oklahoma City. Grandchildren, Gina Jacobs of Norman; Eddie Jacobs of Chickasha; Austin Carson of Edmond, OK; and Cody Carson of Oklahoma City. He is preceded in death by both parents; and two sisters, June Biffle and Sue Carson. Funeral services will be under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay. The service will be held in the Boydston Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. George Lupton conducting the service. Burial will be in Erin Springs Cemetery. Military Honors will be held at the cemetery by the Lindsay American Legion Post # 23.
