Faye B. Stephens

Faye Stephens, age 80, of Edmond, OK, passed away in Heartland Nursing Center in Edmond on January 16, 2001. She was born in Lindsay, OK on April 23, 1920 to Samuel Charles Hoskison and Nancy Belle Rose Hoskison. Faye lived in Lindsay from 1956-1989. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lindsay and was involved in many church activities. She also was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Lindsay. Faye received her Master?s Degree in Counseling. Her career was in Cosmetology. she was Director of Cosmetology Department in Lindsay High School and later owned the Stephens Beauty School in Lindsay. Before retiring she was co-owner of the Elite Health Club in Lindsay with Edna Dacus. Faye is survived by two sons, Wayne Stephens of Shawnee, OK; and Monte Stephens of Edmond, OK. Five grandchildren, Vail Stephens and Corey Stephens of Bethany, OK; Noel Stephens, Oklahoma City, OK; Auvrey Stephens and Spencer Stephens of Edmond, OK. Two great grandchildren, Dillon Stephens and Dak Stephens of Harrah, OK. She is also survived by one brother, Earl Hoskison of Seminole, OK.She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lewis Stephens on May 6, 1976. They were married on Sept. 8, 1938 in Wewoka, OK. She is also preceded in death by both parents; and two sisters, Myrtle Hoskison and Ethel Hoskison; four brothers, Alvin Hoskison, Ben Hoskison, Charles Hoskison, and James Hoskison. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, OK. Services will be held in the Church of Christ, hiway 19 West, in Lindsay on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Harvey Young officiating and J. D. Bryant assisting. Faye will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay. Pallbearers are Vail Stephens, Corey Stephens, Noel Stephens, Spencer Stephens, Bill Hoskison and Gary Rinehart.
