Carl Leo Baker, age 69, of Lindsay, OK, died on November 26, 2001 in Lindsay after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Chickasha, OK on October 26, 1932 to Claude Leo Baker and Addie Myrtle Holmes Baker. Carl lived in Oklahoma City most of his life, but lived in Lindsay the last seven years. He worked in sales and repairs of appliances and refrigerators. Carl never met a stranger, no matter where he went he always found somebody to talk to. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and he liked to go down and spend time at the shop, meeting people and talking about the old days. Carl is survived by his daughter Betsy Diane Ailey and husband, Rick. He has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Four surviving brothers, Bobby Gene Baker, Ronald James Baker, Gary Wayne (Sonny) Baker, and Jerry Don (Joe) Baker, and one sister Claudia Janette Greene; sister-in-law, Vivian Baker and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sons, Carl Ray Baker and Steven Anthony Baker, one daughter Lisa Renelle Baker Lopeman and son in-law Virgil Lopeman.He is also preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Kenneth Baker; and one sister, Carolyn Druscilla Herman; brother-in-law, George Herman; and sister-in-law, Shirley Baker. A Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay with Rev. Bill Love and Chaplain Bill Tomlin officiating.
