Arthur Cowley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Arthur Howard "Artie" Cowley, age 44, of Lindsay, passed away, uesday, March 4, 2003 in Oklahoma City. He was born on July 6, 1958 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Leonard Clifton Cowley and Nona Jewell Hall Cowley. Artie moved to Lindsay in 1980 and worked in the oilfield industry. He loved his children, grandchildren, fishing, and camping. Artie is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home. They were married August 19, 1977 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay. Father in-law Vernon Boettler and mother-in-law Faye. Children: Jennifer, Jason, and Matthew Cowley of Lindsay. Siblings Clifford and Debbie Cowley, of Kilgore, TX; Cathy and Archie Hassler, of Lindsay; Laura Montel, of Oklahoma City; Michael and Crystal Sumpter; Hazel and Frank Garrison, of Pauls Valley; Roy DeVault, of Wichita Falls, TX; and George Sumpter III. Grandchildren: Ethan and Stormie Giambaresi; Hannah Cowley; Nicholas and Charles Lee; Hailey Cowley; and Hailey Medillion. Twenty nieces and nephews. Artie is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Jewell Cowley. Services will be Monday, March 10, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Erin Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be at Erin Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Cowley, Matthew Cowley, David Cowley, Cody Cowley, Jacob Cowley, and Toby Cannon, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Medillion, Mike Hassler, Mike Sumpter, George Sumpter III, Tim Cannon, James Garrison, Keith Bray, David Perry, Marvin Clark, and Danial Yarbrough.
