Alice Orletta Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alice O. (Kelly) Williams was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma, on March 16, 1927, to George Ralph Kelly and Laura J. (Denney) Kelly. She passed from this life in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on December 1, 2020, at the age of 93. Alice was a resident of the Lindsay area her whole life. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lindsay. Alice worked in Medical Records at the Lindsay Municipal Hospital until her retirement. After her retirement she got her manicurist license and as long as she was able, she would take care of anyone’s nails. Alice was a hard worker and enjoyed the working life. She enjoyed keeping her hands busy with sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. In her younger years she loved to go square dancing. She was a lover of shopping, especially shoes and all things shiny. Alice liked to browse the weekly items for sale in the local Shopper News Note. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura Sue Williams of Lindsay, Oklahoma Kelly Chris Williams and wife Anita (Barrick) of Yukon, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Christopher Warren Williams and wife Kat of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Amanda Kate Williams-Mize and husband Joshua of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Alice is preceded in death by her husband, James Williams, her parents, George and Laura Kelly, her sister, Ruth Dygert, and her brother, Roper Kelly. The family would like to thank the staff of Cottonwood Creek Skilled Nursing and Therapy for their special care of Alice over the last year and a half. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church located in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Viewing for Alice will be Friday, December 4, 2020, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. A graveside service for Alice is set to begin at 11:00 A.M. on December 5, 2020, at the Green Hill Cemetery with Dennis Yates officiating. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
